PhytoPea and PhytoPea SF

Ever wondered how we get Pea Protein from Peas?

PhytoPea – Pea Protein Powder

Phyto-Therapy’s PhytoPea is sourced from organically grown, Canadian Golden Yellow Peas. The peas are transported to China for an intricate protein extraction and manufacturing. After the peas are selected, they are de-hulled and the protein component is extracted. Protein extraction uses an array of advanced technology, which includes specific separation techniques, sterilisation and homogenous emulsification. Spray Drying is also used to convert the product into a powder.

PhytoPea SF – Sprouted Fermented Pea Protein Powder

The process used to create PhytoPea Sprouted Fermented is slightly more extensive than that of regular PhytoPea. Organic Canadian Peas are again selected before being washed and soaked in water for 20 hours. The soaking encourages sprouting to improve the absorption of vitamins and minerals. The peas then undergo wet-milling, natural fermentation and a series of steps to isolate and extract the protein. Finally the pea protein is spray dried and analysis is conducted to produce PhytoPea SF.
