Organic Acacia Gum also known as Gum Acacia or Gum Arabic, is a natural ingredient produced from the saps of Acacia Senegal trees, which are grown in various African countries, but mainly from the sub-Saharan Sachel region of northern Africa, coined the ‘Gum Belt’. The thick, amber-coloured sticky sap exuded by Acacia trees are harvested, they are further purified and turned into fine powder form in a facility located in France. Acacia gum can be used as an emulsifier or thickener in beverages or as a source of prebiotic soluble dietary fibre for additional health benefits.
